Detailing
At SDS we take approved designs and ‘detail’ all the parts for manufacture and assembly build. The manufacturing drawing pack is checked through our quality control processes prior to issue reducing, if not eliminating, queries and problems that can potentially occur during the production process. Our digital prototyping service uses the drawing pack to produce a 3D prototype, turning your idea into a digital functioning product or part. This enables us to foresee any potential issues that may arise and consult with you to design these out before returning a product/drawing fit for purpose.
Draughting
Here at SDS we are well versed in quickly and efficiently updating drawings from mark-ups or converting those hand-sketches and scribbles into professional CAD drawings so that parts can be made. We will also look after revision control and issuing of drawings if required – a helpful extension to your own team or becoming the drawings office you need but do not have.
REVERSE ENGINEERING
If you have a part or product that you need to re-manufacture, but don’t have the manufacturing drawings or documentation, then our reverse engineering service can help.
At SDS we take your parts and use hand-measuring techniques to produce 3D CAD models and the manufacturing drawings are derived from them. These 3D Models can help to reproduce the parts, to further develop parts already being used and even manufacture a new product variant.
